𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁𝘀 printer collaboration

At Blackmore, we know that times are particularly tough in the print industry right now. First, the industry was impacted by COVID times; then the cost-of-living crisis and energy cost hikes affected businesses; and from April 2025 the national insurance increases will add substantial extra costs to businesses around the UK.

On top of this, the print industry is rapidly changing, by adapting to customer buying trends and replacing some longer-run print campaigns with more frequent short-run digital projects. This makes it harder for printers to plan for the future and invest in the right equipment.

However, Blackmore can help! During the last few years, we have started working with more printers and found this printer collaboration to be mutually beneficial for everyone. For example, we worked with other printers on joint ventures, consolidation, selling, changing or expanding.

As we have invested in two new Komori litho presses, some digital-based printers worked with us for longer-run litho or packaging projects. Similarly, other printers that produced predominantly litho print worked with us to provide digital solutions on our newly acquired RICOH press. We also produced projects for other printers on our cold-set web press for newspaper-format print or projects printed on lightweight uncoated papers.
