Blackmore Supports Charity Fundraiser

Updated: Nov 1, 2021

Hermoine Lawes, from Blackmore’s Customer Service team, recently completed The Jurassic Coast Challenge, walking 26 miles along stunning Dorset coastal scenery. Hermoine completed the challenge, along with 3 friends, in 8 ½ hours, raising over £5,000 between them for Macmillan Cancer Support and the British Heart Foundation.

Hermoine said “The challenge was something really positive to focus on during covid times. To prepare for the challenge, I followed the training programme, and walked 12 miles most weekends. As part of the challenge, my friends and I really wanted to raise money for our chosen charities, which meant a lot to each of us. Blackmore supported my Jurassic Coast Challenge experience and lots of the team sponsored me individually, too.”

Hermoine went on to say “During the challenge, we were able to enjoy the stunning walk and views along the way! The walk was very hilly and muddy in parts. We also experienced a whole range of weather, from sunshine, mist and rain. However, the sun came out right at the end of the walk.”

Andy Robbins, Managing Director of Blackmore Ltd, added “We are proud to congratulate Hermoine on her Jurassic Coast Challenge. Many members of our team get involved in charity fundraisers throughout the year and we are happy to support and encourage them on their journeys.”
